¶ Standard Widgets
¶ Widget Configuration dialog
Most of the widgets require some kind of settings or configuration. In the past version of Template Engine many widget options or settings have been done directly in content part of the widget. Current version of Template Engine moved some or all configuration into unified dialog window to streamline user experience and allow clear page layout overview even in page editmode.
To access widget configuration dialog click on widget bar handler
then click on Widget Configuration icon
most of options in widget configuration dialog are specific to concrete widget with exception of:
¶ Widget Container configuration panel
Coontainer configuration panel gives you few options:
- choose semantically correct HTML5 container element which will be used as a widget container element
- add CSS class to container element (please note: if no container is selected DIV will be used as it is the most universal element available)
- add inline CSS properties to container element (please note: if no container is selected DIV will be used as it is the most universal element available)
Dialog can be closed using small cross at right corner which is the same as if Close button is used, using Close & Refresh button user can close the dialog and refresh whole page to see the changes just made. All changes are made persistent only after Save or Save & Publish buttons on page toolbar is used. Please note: some changes might be visible only on page front end as they may interfere with page editmode interface.
